Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 2026 • The Sovereign Court Hotel & Suites
1. Contractual Basis & Registered Entity
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“the Guest”, “Patron”, or “Client”) and The Sovereign Court Hotel & Suites (“the Hotel”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). Our corporate operational address is Berkeley Square House, 4-19 Berkeley Square, Mayfair, London W1J 6BD, United Kingdom. Confirmation of any accommodation reservation, event booking, dining arrangement, or physical entry into the hotel premises and The Sovereign Club signifies unequivocal acceptance of these terms.
2. Age Eligibility & Mandatory Verification (Strictly 21+ for Gaming)
Hotel accommodation, suite occupancy, and dining venues are available to individuals of legal contracting age (18 years and above). In strict compliance with United Kingdom gaming standards and club licensing policies, admission to The Sovereign Club gaming salon, VIP roulette tables, slot suites, and private gaming parlours is strictly restricted to verified adults aged 21 years and over. All guests entering the gaming floor must present a physical, valid government-issued photographic identity document (valid International Passport or UK Driving Licence) upon request.
3. Room & Suite Reservations, Check-in & Check-out
Standard guaranteed check-in commences at 15:00 GMT. Early arrival prior to 15:00 is subject to suite availability and cannot be guaranteed without pre-booking the preceding night. Check-out is strictly required by 12:00 midday GMT. Late check-out requests must be coordinated through the 24/7 Concierge and will incur supplementary hourly fees or a full night's rate if extending past 16:00 GMT. Room keys and digital suite credentials are non-transferable and remain the property of the Hotel.
4. Cancellation, Amendment & No-Show Policy
Standard flexible reservations placed directly via gamesaroundworld.com or our official booking desk may be modified or cancelled without financial penalty up to 24 hours prior to 15:00 GMT on the scheduled day of arrival. Any cancellation, modification, or reduction in stay received less than 24 hours prior to check-in, as well as non-arrival (“no-show”), shall incur an automatic charge equivalent to the full rate of the first night's reserved accommodation plus applicable VAT. Advance-purchase and promotional rate bookings are non-refundable and non-modifiable.
5. Financial Pre-Authorisation & Incidental Security Deposits
A valid major credit or debit card registered in the primary guest's legal name must be produced upon physical arrival. The Hotel enforces a mandatory incidental security hold to secure discretionary bar, dining, concierge, and room expenses:
- Superior & Deluxe Rooms: A pre-authorisation hold of £200 per night of occupancy.
- Executive & Signature Suites: A pre-authorisation hold of £500 per night of occupancy.
- Settlement & Release: Incidental holds are released immediately upon departure inspection; financial institutions typically process merchant releases within three to seven business days.
6. The Sovereign Club & Private Gaming Regulations
The Sovereign Club operates between 18:00 and 04:00 daily. Entry is granted under the express condition that guests conduct themselves with decorum and respect toward fellow patrons and floor croupiers. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
- Use of concealed electronic devices, card-counting apparatus, or unauthorized recording equipment.
- Syndicate collusion, unauthorized chip transfers, or abusive language toward gaming attendants.
- Unsupervised occupancy of reserved high-limit VIP salons without an active private salon reservation.
Management reserves the immediate, unappealable right to suspend gaming privileges, invalidate illicit play, and escort non-compliant individuals off the premises.
7. Dress Code, Decorum & Right of Refusal
To maintain Mayfair's historic hospitality prestige, The Sovereign Court Hotel enforces a Smart Casual dress policy throughout public lounges and dining salons, and an Elegant Evening dress standard within The Sovereign Club after 19:00. Sportswear, activewear, running shoes, beach sandals, torn denim, and baseball caps are strictly prohibited on the gaming floor and in the Windsor Cocktail Lounge. The Hotel management reserves the absolute right to refuse entry or terminate the stay of any person whose attire, intoxication, or behavior disrupts the comfort and security of our guests.
8. Responsible Gaming & Player Welfare Protocols
The Sovereign Court Hotel champions responsible gaming as an integral component of luxury entertainment. Patrons may at any time request confidential betting limit reductions, session time-out reminders, or voluntary self-exclusion agreements with our Gaming Floor Director. We maintain an active partnership with UK player support institutions, including GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline (0808 8020 133). Underage gambling is illegal under UK law and will be referred to statutory authorities.
9. Culinary Venues, Bar Service & Licensing Compliance
The Sovereign Brasserie, Windsor Lounge, and afternoon tea service adhere to the Licensing Act 2003. We operate a rigorous “Challenge 25” age-check standard across all bar areas. Alcoholic beverages will not be served to intoxicated individuals. Outside food, wines, spirits, and takeaway deliveries are not permitted in dining salons or private suites without prior written arrangement with the Food & Beverage Director, which may be subject to standard corkage tariffs.
10. The Royal Thermal Spa & Wellness Facility Terms
Access to the hydrotherapy pool, Finnish sauna, and eucalyptus steam rooms is reserved for hotel residents and pre-booked spa clients aged 18 and older. Guests must complete a confidential Medical Health Questionnaire prior to undergoing bespoke hydrotherapy or massage treatments. Appointment cancellations must be submitted at least 12 hours in advance; appointments cancelled with less than 12 hours' notice will be billed at 50% of the scheduled treatment tariff.
11. Limitation of Liability & Hotel Proprietors Act 1956
In accordance with the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956, the Hotel is not liable for any loss of or damage to any property brought into the hotel by guests unless such property has been deposited in the hotel's central executive security vault and an authorized custody receipt has been issued. In-room electronic safes are provided for guest convenience, but their use does not constitute formal custody bailment with the Hotel. The Hotel accepts no liability for loss or damage to motor vehicles parked within the valet parking bays, nor for personal belongings left unattended inside vehicles.
12. Environmental Standards, Non-Smoking Policy & Damages
The Sovereign Court Hotel maintains an absolute 100% non-smoking and non-vaping policy across all interior architecture, including all guestrooms, bathrooms, suites, corridors, elevators, and salons. Smoking, e-cigarettes, vaping, or burning substances within internal rooms will result in an automatic, non-negotiable specialised deep-cleaning remediation surcharge of £500 debited directly to the guest's folio. Any physical damage to hotel fixtures, art collections, or gaming equipment will be assessed at full replacement value and charged to the registered patron.
13. Governing Law, Dispute Resolution & Severability
These Terms and Conditions, together with all associated guest agreements, shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any controversy, dispute, or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts sitting in London. If any provision of these terms is judged invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
